For years we have been able to take unwanted items like cardboard boxes and used cans from the Dumpster and sell them to recyclers. Since the stuff was going to the landfill nobody ever cared that we got those things, and the little bit of money the recyclers paid us sure came in use. Then my friend who works at Wilson Junior High gave me the memo from the principal that says district employees can be fired for taking unwanted food and other things from trash cans and the big landfill Dumpsters. We don’t want to get into trouble over this recycling.
