Game-day finery at Wrigley

Were you deliberately trying to stay away from anything that says "Cubs"? "My style is not gaudy at all but I do have a Cubs T-shirt."

5) Corey McGrath, 24, physical therapist, Chicago

Before the first pitch, she explained she wears her bracelet emblazoned "LUCKY" to games because "It brings us luck." (Cubs lost to the Diamondbacks 13-5.)

Let's hear about those 'Go Cubs' shades: "I just bought them from a vendor selling them at Moe's Cantina (a restaurant near Wrigley Field)."

How much? "Ten dollars. Totally worth it! Though (with the writing on the lenses) they're kind of hard to see through."

On her red, white and blue scarf — with no Cubs logo: "I saw this last year at Urban Outfitters and I'm like, 'Cubs!' I gotta get it."

One more thing: "I'm from St. Louis. I hate the Cardinals. My grandfather is a Cubs fan."

6) Scott Anton, 28, security worker, Orland Park and Megan Hendrick, 26, hair stylist, New Lenox

The shirt, is it true? Megan: "Yes." Scott: "I'm the recipient." Megan: "I saw it at Victoria's Secret at the Orland Square Mall. Instantly, I had to buy it."

Any shirt tales? Megan: "I had a guy selling T-shirts say, 'I'm a Cubs fan. Kiss me.'" Scott: "She better not."

More Cubs mania: Scott has a Cubby bear tattoo on his biceps. Megan polished her nails Cubs blue for the game. They hope to have their wedding reception at Wrigley Field and, although the color theme will be hot pink, "We'll work in some Cubs," says Megan. Tune playing as bride and groom arrive at the reception? "Go Cubs Go."

7) Presiliano ("Big Prez") Martinez, 28, heating and air conditioning worker, and son Presiliano ("Lil Prez"), Jr., 18 months, Chicago

Is your boy an aspiring major leaguer? "He likes to throw the ball around — and a lot of other stuff." Young Prez is a third-generation Cubs fan with a full Cubs wardrobe.

Such as? Mom Cristina enumerates. "He's got Cubs PJs, a little Cubs suit, a hoodie, some receiving blankets and throws." The personalized matching caps in the photo were purchased at Lids on game day.

Leaving the park after watching the lopsided Cubs loss: Prez: "You can't win all of them." Cristina: "At least it didn't rain."
