With everything going on in the modern world, I find myself asking if this is truly where I need to be.
There is so much that goes on in the day to day lives of teens that it is sometimes overwhelming.
Between the stress of homework, school, friends, social activities and everything else, it brings into question if all students have been doing has been truly worth it, or is it simply complicating their life and making them lose focus of what they need to do?
Earlier in the school year, I lost focus of what I really needed to be doing. I got caught up in all the things I did on the side and lost sight of what was really important.
I almost messed up one of the most important relationships in my life because of what now seems a very stupid reason.
That event made me stop and ask myself if I was truly focusing on what I need to do with my life for me to reach my goals.
The answer I came up with was ‘no,’ I wasn’t happy with where I was at that time and I started to make the changes I thought I needed to make.
What I found out through this experience was that sometimes what I think is the best for me really isn’t. Sometimes it is necessary to go through your life and make the changes so you can have a better life and a more productive life.
Sometimes you are far way from where you need to be. Other times, you are in the perfect place at the perfect time.
