With extreme heat, floods, earthquakes, storms, fires and more, the Imperial Valley pretty much sees every kind of emergency or disaster situation imaginable aside from hurricanes, said Andy McKellar.

With those challenges, the director of disaster services at the American Red Cross San Diego/Imperial County chapter said the agency strives to be prepared for just about anything.
