BRAWLEY — The City Council’s recent approval of a new cell phone communications tower that be erected just outside Brawley Union High School’s football field has provoked objections.

The tower, a 110-foot monopole, will be placed in a secured, 36-foot-by-36-foot area in the northwest corner of the city-owned baseball field, Wiest Field, which is in the northeast corner outside of BUHS’ Warne Field.
