CALEXICO — Samantha Mosquera had spent the past four years moving around the world and switching schools — from New York, to Florida, to Ecuador, to Florida again, then California — until she landed at Aurora High School.

Having moved around so much, Mosquera realized it was going to be “really hard” for her to graduate at all — let alone from a continuation high school.
