NAVAL AIR FACILITY EL CENTRO — For many businesses or careers, New Year’s can be a quiet time but for the Navy’s flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels, now is the moment to gear up for rigorous training they rally around for the next 10 weeks preparing the 2017 show season.

The squadron’s mission is showcasing the honor and expertise of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, stressed Kris Haugh, Naval Air Facility El Centro public affairs officer. They inspire a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstration and outreach to community.
