IMPERIAL -- Growing up on a Navy base, Ken Pintus is someone who can truly appreciate the acrobatic performance that the Blue Angels put on every year. However, he didn't spend his Saturday watching the performance on base. Instead, he, along with his wife and daughter, decided to ditch the crowds and plant their vehicle near a wheat field and watch from a different view.

After locating a spot off of Worthington Road west of Imperial, Pintus pitched a canopy tent, set up three lawn chairs and waited.
