EL CENTRO – Rebellion against face coverings, social distancing and hand washing isn’t going to get residents of this city and others in Imperial Valley back in business any quicker.

“I get it. People are getting tired and don’t want to wear a face covering,” said El Centro Fire Chief Ken Herbert Friday at a special meeting of the City Council. “But it doesn’t serve the purpose when the face covering isn’t worn or is worn improperly.”
