BRAWLEY — A shortfall in anticipated funding and possibly a little too much selflessness in terms of helping clients has the Imperial Valley Cancer Support Center on the ropes.

Executive Director Oreda Chin said the center was about $20,000 short in projected funding through the summer, resulting in elimination of staff and a short-term reduction of services.
