Sixty years ago, a small group of Imperial Valley community leaders had a vision — one that led them to bring alive the Western traditions upon which this rugged corner of California was founded. That vision was to bring rodeo to the Valley.

Backed by the support of volunteers and the city of Brawley, the founding members of the Cattle Call Rodeo Committee succeeded in holding what over the years many in the industry have come to call one of the finest rodeos in the nation.
