NAVAL AIR FACILITY EL CENTRO — While 343 was likely the most mentioned number during the numerous 9/11 memorial events held Wednesday morning throughout the Valley, the number 30 was at the forefront of the remembrance ceremony held here.

The more than 30 officers and enlisted personnel of the U.S. Navy who made the ultimate sacrifice during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, received a special tribute during the ceremony, as each of their names were read aloud before a crowd.
