Construction of aquatic center in the home stretch

EL CENTRO — The roughly $16 million El Centro Aquatic Center at Adams Park from Fourth Street to Sixth Street is nearing completion with an anticipated opening date being toward the end of September.

Kevin Giddings, assistant superintendent of Hamel Contracting Inc., which is building the center, said the grand opening will be Sept. 21.
