FARM - Water Quality: A Primer, Part 2

Earlier this fall, a group expressed some concern about the quality of the water from the Colorado River delivered by the Imperial Irrigation District. While COLAB generally does not become involved with water issues, we have taken the opportunity to provide information to the readers.

This article will cover the basic issue of water quality for those of us who derive out residential water from one of the seven incorporated cities and townships with water treatment facilities. The seven incorporated cities are Calexico, Holtville, El Centro, Imperial, Westmorland, Brawley and Calipatria.
