Brawley murder defendant allegedly assaults inmate, jailer

EL CENTRO — A jailed 29-year-old Brawley resident awaiting trial for an 2018 murder case in Brawley has since been accused of assaulting an inmate and battering a corrections deputy in separate incidents.

Eduardo Tolentino Jr. appeared in court Tuesday in connection to the alleged assault and battery but had his hearings continued to Aug. 13.
