March is the beginning of spring, and that means a desert wildflower bloom! This year we are experiencing a “Super Bloom,” a phenomenon brought on by rains and weather that results in an explosion of the seasonal flowers in bloom all around the same time. The last Super Bloom was spring 2017. The desert bloom relies heavily on rainfall — when we get it and how much we get — this year rain totals are well above average for southern California.
