EL CENTRO — El Centro City Councilman Jason Jackson is seeking to have his probation terminated and a 10-day jail sentence vacated in connection to his animal cruelty conviction.

The motion, filed Oct. 25 by defense attorney Raj Singh, cites Jackson’s “exemplary performance” while on probation and increased family responsibilities as the rationale behind the requests.
