Six IVC grads rewarded with UCSD scholarships

Imperial Valley College graduate Kathia Marlenne Cortez has simple advice for students who are intimidated by the coursework required for careers in the sciences and mathematics.

“Do not be discouraged from the STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) field,” she said. “At IVC it’s hard. There aren’t many classes,” she added.
