IMPERIAL COUNTY — The Imperial Irrigation District and others are closely watching the election numbers trickle in that could result in a major shift in the makeup and the sensibilities of its Board of Directors.

At this point, it appears clear that J.B. Hamby has locked up the IID Division 2 race. As of Thursday, he held a more than 1,100-vote advantage over El Centro attorney Ryan Childers.
