End of an era: Sears in El Centro among stores listed for closure by end of 2018

EL CENTRO — After 13 years of business, the Sears located at Imperial Valley Mall, 3751 S. Dogwood Ave., is closing its doors permanently.

Employees were left reeling after Sears Holdings announced the decision Monday morning. Sears Holdings operates both Sears and Kmart.
