OCOTILLO — The Imperial Valley Desert Museum invited the public to rediscover an ancient and educational pastime Tuesday night with its Moonrise! Stargazing event.

Stargazing, or even just taking the time to look at the sky, is a now desolate hobby that was done for thousands of years by people all over the world, the event’s instructor Mike Rood explained.
