WASHINGTON, D.C. — Farmers and ranchers impacted by the coronavirus pandemic will be able to apply for assistance through USDA’s Farm Service Agency next week.

The federal Coronavirus Food Assistance Program, announced Tuesday by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue, will provide up to $16 billion in direct payments to help producers who have lost markets and income during the pandemic.
