SACRAMENTO — The state Assembly voted on Monday to pass Assembly Bill 1066, landmark legislation which could allow farmworkers to get paid overtime after eight hours of daily labor and more than 40 hours of work per week with a 44-32 vote.

The bill is now headed to the desk of Gov. Jerry Brown for his signature. The bill is a similar version of Assembly Bill 2757, which was defeated in June.
