EL CENTRO — A statewide outbreak of hepatitis A in Arizona so far has not prompted the Imperial County Public Health Department to adopt any extra measures to prevent the spread of the disease locally.

“The Imperial County Public Health Department continues to monitor hepatitis A and other communicable disease through routine surveillance methods already in place,” said spokeswoman Maria Peinado.
