Holtville deputy who was allegedly shot at testifies

EL CENTRO – Jurors in the trial of a Holtville man accused of the November 2018 attempted murder of a county Sheriff’s Office deputy heard testimony on Tuesday from the deputy, as well as viewed the body-worn camera footage taken during the incident.

The testimony and presentation of evidence took place during the first day of a trial at the county Superior Court courthouse here that is expected to wrap up by Friday.
