EL CENTRO — The 2019-20 budget the Imperial County Board of Supervisors will vote on Tuesday will still have some augmentations for staffing, step increases, promotions and travel, but there is about a $6 million gap between augmentations that have been requested and the ones the board is likely to approve, acting on the recommendations of county administrators.

Among the budget augmentations administrators are recommending against is about $950,000 that would come from the general fund. These include $225,000 for juvenile hall to cover the professional services for minors who have been sentenced and for overtime and extra help and $162,500 for the county’s airport land use compatibility update.
