Mayors see Calexico council’s decision to suspend its benefits as problematic

CALEXICO — The 3-2 decision of the Calexico City Council on Wednesday to eliminate their own pay and benefits for at least one year isn’t necessarily a hit with observers.

The move is expected to save the city more than $150,000.
