Although the COVID-19 pandemic has forced many businesses to implement social distancing measures to prevent people from falling ill, Mexico’s Electricity Federal Commission called for its customers to pay their bills.

The government-owned company said operations are not expected to stop, and that it will keep providing an optimum service without any interruptions due to the need to distribute energy to public institutions, private companies and Mexican homes.
