A Texas man who was sought by U.S. authorities for presumably having taken part in the torture of DEA agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena more than three decades ago was apprehended in Mexicali by state and immigration officers.

The agency said the FBI had alerted it that Ezequiel Godinez Cervantes, 77, of San Juan, Texas, had crossed the border to hide in Mexicali.
