More than 400 acres consumed in fire

HEBER — Nearly every fire department in Imperial County worked Monday to contain a fourth-alarm river-bottom fire that scorched approximately 450 acres near Clark and Kubler roads.

No injuries were reported, and the fire was deemed contained by 8 p.m. Monday.
