EL CENTRO — About of half of Ryerson Hall at Desert Trails RV Park on Friday was filled with owners and managers from local businesses and nonprofits eager to brush up on the most important updates in California labor law effective with the new year.

They came for a presentation made by attorney Nadia P. Bermudez, of the San Diego law firm Klinedinst PC, on behalf of the El Centro Chamber of Commerce.
