BRAWLEY — Annie Vijarro was up at 5 a.m. Saturday getting ready to open the doors of her new clothing boutique downtown. Truth is, she sounded a little surprised that she was up and about that time of day, but added, “We have a lot of motivation and a lot of stuff to do.”

Motivation would appear to be something that comes naturally to Vijarro. Her new Brawley Fashions, 136 Main St., is the second business she has opened this year. The other, Annita’s Cosmetics, opened in June at 150 Main St.
