Probation Dept. helps prison inmates released early amid pandemic

EL CENTRO – A coordinated local effort has been launched to assist offenders released early from state prisons as part of the state’s efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in statewide facilities.

As part of that initiative, the Imperial County Probation Department has been helping inmates and their families to ensure there is proper housing and supervision for those being released.
