Q. Why do the Imperial County administrators continue to permit burning of agricultural fields? In a community with substantial air pollutants and with a population that experiences more than the normal rate of asthma and other respiratory afflictions, it would seem other means of clearing agricultural fields could be used. Are there any local farmers using alternatives to burning agricultural fields in Imperial County? Barely breathing, El Centro

Great Question for the Imperial County Board of Supervisors. Could be because Air Pollution Control is under County Ag Department. Maybe you just need younger more progressive Board of Supervisors. You have 2 or 3 that has done nothing about it for YEARS and yet they continue to serve. Vote for Change!
