Is the new PMH Children's Healthcare in Brawley no longer accepting regular insurance? I recently took in my two kids for minor illnesses and was charged $80 per kid vs. the regular $20 copay under my regular insurance. I've taken my kids to the pediatrician there since they were born. If this is the new norm for that office, I'll have to switch pediatricians, which is unfortunate. Why was no notice provided to parents? Over the phone, I was told it's because the place is no longer a “private” practice. Seems like an unfortunate situation. PMH could have done a better job informing the lifelong customers who trusted the facility with the care of their kids that these drastic changes were coming. Better service at what cost?!?
