El Centro police have arrested two people suspected of cashing hundreds of thousands of dollars in stolen and altered checks in multiple Valley cities since early February, and police are asking other possible victims to come forward.

El Centro resident Benjamin Nanez, 28, and Heber resident Priscilla Carrillo, 29, were arrested on Friday and are suspected of altering and cashing several business checks valued at more than $100,000 each. The checks were cashed in Calexico, El Centro and Brawley.
