EL CENTRO — The temporary closure of schools countywide has turned into something of a mixed blessing for 10-year-old El Centro twins Michelle and Francisco Gonzalez.

Aside from sharing a birthday, the Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary fourth-graders also share a dislike for mathematics, and on Tuesday said they were glad to spend the day not having to worry about the subject matter.
