Karely Banuelos fell on the ground in the playground at Washington Elementary School on Thursday morning.

She pretended to be hurt as part of a series of simulations during the annual Great California ShakeOut event in order to better prepare the children for potential scenarios resulting from an earthquake. The Great ShakeOut allows everyone to practice drills and learn how to be safe when a real earthquake hits.
