Southwest grad wins SCAG scholarship

EL CENTRO — Recent Southwest High School graduate Mariano Peinado, was Imperial County’s recipient of the Southern California Association of Governments 2019 scholarship.

Peinado, who is the son of Imperial County Public Health Department information officer Maria Peinado, will receive $4,000 in financial support and participate in a two-week internship with SCAG or a local planning agency.
