Student-athletes support mental health with sports

Southwest students-athletes participate in competitive sports as a way of dealing with stress and to support their mental health.

Ruben Valenzuela, who has been the athletic director at Southwest High School for the past three years, said he has not yet had a student come to him with mental health issues.
