HOLTVILLE — The ninth annual Imperial Valley Renewable Energy and Water Summit came to a close on Friday, the lone panel discussion for day three focused on the future of the restoration of the Salton Sea.

Phil Rosentrater, executive director of the Salton Sea Authority, touched on some of the recent developments surrounding the Salton Sea, such as the $80.5 million allocated for restoration in the governor’s budget and the appointment of Bruce Wilcox as the assistant secretary for Salton Sea policy last fall.
