EL CENTRO — The Imperial County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved sending letters to federal agencies and legislators to support the funding for the Calexico west port of entry project.

Intergovernmental Relations Director Rebecca Terrazas-Baxter told the supervisors that in President Donald Trump’s proposed budget, $99.7 million was earmarked for the expansion and reconfiguration of the border point of entry in Calexico.
