CALEXICO — Health professionals from Imperial Valley and Mexicali united to participate in World Mental Health Day on Thursday by hosting a mental health symposium.

While the international day was created for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma, Thursday’s local symposium focused on mental health programs and strategies in the California-Baja California border region.
