Teachers irked with contract proposal

CALEXICO — Educators here said they are feeling offended and insulted after reviewing Calexico Unified School District’s proposed salary increase.

The district is proposing a 7 percent salary increase; however, the increase comes with a reduction in a teacher’s health care coverage.
