The Abate 38 motorcycle group holds its 23rd annual Turkey Run

A biker loads a turkey onto the back of a white pickup truck during the 23rd annual Yuma-Imperial County Turkey Run. The event was held in the parking lot of Walmart on Saturday in El Centro. Registration was at 8:30 a.m., while kickstands up was at 10 a.m. Each biker made a $10 donation, and donated a frozen turkey. The donated turkeys filled the bed of this pickup truck and another identical one. The bikers rode around the Imperial Valley, donating the turkeys to charities. The event was hosted by the local Abate 38, a pro-motorcycle legislation group. PHOTO VINCENT OSUNA
