EL CENTRO — A 150-year-old Long Beach-based company that specializes in handling and transportation of liquid and dry bulk materials formally unveiled its newest distribution hub on Friday.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony at Ventura Transfer Co.’s new facility at 605 N. Third St. follows a notion first conceived about 10 years ago that finally gained serious traction about seven or eight years later.
