California Highway Patrol announced Wednesday that its search continues for the suspect responsible for Tuesday’s vehicle versus pedestrian incident, which left a 22-year-old Brawley woman hospitalized in serious condition.

The incident occurred approximately 8:22 p.m. Tuesday when Arce Rodriguez was struck by a motorist while walking on the right shoulder of northbound State Route 86, just north of Brandt Road.
