The woman who died in Friday night’s traffic collision near Picacho and San Pasqual School roads has been identified as Cynthia Renee Gilmore, 28, of Yuma, the Imperial County Coroner’s Office announced Monday.

Gilmore and a male occupant were traveling in a blue Chevy Malibu that collided head-on with a tree. The car came to rest between two other trees nearby. The man was airlifted for treatment.
