A Plus Furniture

Responding firefighters work to put out a fire at A Plus Furniture on April 9 in Brawley.

BRAWLEY — Earlier this year, the city and its business owners watched in fear and sadness as a series of fires struck the downtown area destroying both city and private property in addition to the morale of a proud, tight-knit community.

Since the dust of the downtown fires has settled, and the individuals responsible were apprehended in April, the city has done what it can to bring focus to the area and remind the community of its rich history.
