The Mex Factor: Keep cannabis products away from kids

Arturo Bojorquez

Last Friday, on my way to the office, I stopped at the convenience store I usually go to purchase some water and sometimes a fruit to eat before starting work. While waiting in line to purchase my items, I found myself looking at an empty clear-plastic display whose labeling included a couple of notable abbreviations on its sides.

The product was some kind of hemp-derived product containing CBD (cannabidiol) and promising “no THC.” Presumably, the product sells well. Given my concerns I asked a woman who was accompanied by three kids if she knew anything about the box. In response she said she had no idea what those letters referred to. The store employee told me display is for some sort of cream.
